Cross-Border Transactions | Part 1 – Exports and Drop-Shipments

As a valued Ryan client, we invite you to join us for two informative webinars on cross-border transactions and the federal and provincial sales tax issues that often complicate these activities.

In the first webinar, we will highlight specific legislative provisions that can provide Canadian sales tax relief for exports and offer insight on strategies available to organizations involved in drop-shipment transactions.

After attending both sessions, participants will:  

- Gain an understanding of the sales tax liability issues when goods are imported into a Canadian jurisdiction;  
- Learn how to determine if Canadian sales tax applies to exports; and  
- Be able to identify various issues that can arise for suppliers and purchasers in drop-shipment scenarios.
