Cross-Border Transactions | Part 2 – Imports

As a valued Ryan client, we invite you to join us for two informative webinars on cross-border transactions and the federal and provincial sales tax issues that often complicate these activities.

The second webinar will focus on the sales tax obligations to be considered when goods are imported into Canada or moved between provinces within Canada. In addition, this session will address common obstacles that can make the recovery of tax in these situations difficult.

After attending both sessions, participants will:  

- Gain an understanding of the sales tax liability issues when goods are imported into a Canadian jurisdiction;  
- Learn how to determine if Canadian sales tax applies to exports; and  
- Be able to identify various issues that can arise for suppliers and purchasers in drop-shipment scenarios.  

The live two-hour sessions may qualify for up to two (2) CPE credits (*)
